Alan Shingler has been dancing from the age of 8. He has represented the United Kingdom as a Junior, Amateur and Professional in European and World Championships. 

As a competitor Alan was in the top 6 of every major world event in which he competed from 1992 - 2005.

As a competitor and adjudicator he has travelled to over 45 countries. As an adjudicator he has judged The British Open Championships, International Championships, Japan International, Shenzhen China Open to name a few.
